EZC Presents…Very Tall Alien Night

EDINBURGH ZOMBIE CLUB PRESENTS

VERY TALL ALIEN NIGHT

FEATURING…

WITHOUT WARNING (1980, dir. Greydon Clark)
While camping at a desolate lake, a bunch of teenagers are attacked by a hideous alien, wileding tentacled discs. A very tall alien. Did I mention it’s invisible too? Features turns by Jack Palance & Martin Landua, who accounted for half the film’s budget. Also stars Kevin Peter Hall, who would later star as the Predator. Indeed, it has been suggested that this film actually inspired Predator.

THE HUMANOID (1979, dir. Aldo Lado)
Hoping to overthrow his brother as ruler of the planet Metropolis, the evil Graal enlists the help of the insane Dr. Kraspin, who has invented a chemical capable of turning an ordinary person into a perfect soldier. They test this chemical on the pilot Golob, turning the unsuspecting victim into a mindless but indestructable automaton possessing superhuman strength. The people of Metropolis must somehow outwit Graal before he can create an army of these soldiers, or their planet will be destroyed.
An unabashed Star Wars rip off, featuring Richard “Jaws” Kiel as a very tall alien (ok, probably more of a tall cyborg, but pendantry rarely makes for catchy titles).
